Truck Dispatching

Your dedicated dispatcher finds the freight, fights for the rate, and handles the paperwork — you just drive.

A Back Office That Rides With You

Dispatching is the heartbeat of Evernex. Your dedicated dispatcher becomes an extension of your business: searching load boards around your lanes, negotiating every rate like it's their own money, completing broker packets, tracking your shipments, and chasing every dollar of detention and accessorial pay you're owed.

While other dispatchers juggle dozens of trucks, we keep caseloads small — so your dispatcher actually knows your truck, your schedule, and where you want to be on Friday night.

What's Included

  • Load sourcing across multiple load boards, matched to your lanes
  • Hard rate negotiation on every single load
  • Broker communication, carrier packets & rate confirmations
  • Real-time shipment tracking and check calls
  • Detention, lumper & TONU claims pursued for you
  • Invoicing paperwork and factoring coordination
  • Lane planning to minimize deadhead miles
  • 24/7 support — nights, weekends, holidays

  • Dry van — the workhorse of American freight
  • Reefer — temperature-controlled, grocery & pharma
  • Flatbed & step deck — building materials, machinery
  • Box trucks & hotshots — expedited and regional
  • Specialized & oversized hauls requiring permits

Who It's For

Owner-operators and small fleets (1–10 trucks) who want to drive — not spend evenings hunting freight on load boards after an 11-hour day.

Inside Evernex

A Dispatcher's Day With You

Dispatching isn't a single phone call — it's a full day of decisions made on your behalf. Here's what your dedicated Evernex dispatcher actually does while you're behind the wheel.

01

Morning Lane Planning

Before your wheels turn, your dispatcher maps your position, hours-of-service left, and delivery windows — then lines up reload options near your drop so you never sit waiting.

02

Load Sourcing

We scan multiple load boards and our broker network for freight matching your equipment, your lanes, and your rate floor — filtering out cheap freight before it ever reaches you.

03

Rate Negotiation

Posted rates are starting points, not final offers. We negotiate every load — and we don't accept anything below your agreed minimum without your explicit approval.

04

Paperwork & Setup

Carrier packets, insurance certificates, W-9s, rate confirmations — all completed, signed, and filed. You get one clean rate con with pickup numbers and contacts.

05

Tracking & Check Calls

We stay on the load: check calls, appointment updates, and proactive problem-solving if a shipper runs late or a receiver changes the dock time.

06

End-of-Day & Tomorrow

We confirm today's paperwork is complete, chase any detention owed, and already have tomorrow's options lined up before you park for the night.

How It Works

How Load Sourcing Actually Works

Anyone can open a load board. The skill is knowing which loads to take — and which to walk away from. Our dispatchers work from a simple rule: every load must beat your cost-per-mile plus your target profit, or it doesn't get offered to you.

We source freight from multiple major load boards and a growing network of brokers and direct shippers. But volume means nothing without filtering: we check broker credit scores before booking (so you don't haul for companies that pay slow or not at all), verify facility reviews for your equipment type, and factor in deadhead miles to the pickup — because a $3.00/mile load means nothing if you drive 200 empty miles to get it.

Lane strategy matters as much as individual loads. We plan your week as a sequence, not a series of one-offs: positioning you toward high-demand markets, avoiding known dead zones, and timing reloads so your hours-of-service keep working for you instead of against you. Over a month, smart lane planning is often worth more than any single great rate.

Money Talk

Rate Negotiation, Done Right

The rate posted on a load board is the broker's opening bid — and brokers expect negotiation. Our dispatchers negotiate daily, know lane averages cold, and aren't afraid to walk away from underpaying freight.

  • We know current lane averages and seasonal swings
  • We counter lowball offers with real market data
  • We confirm accessorials (tarp, lumper, detention) in writing
  • Nothing below your rate floor without your approval
  • Every rate con reviewed line-by-line before you sign
Chasing What's Yours

Detention, Layover & Lumper Claims

Accessorial pay is money most carriers leave on the table — because claiming it takes time and persistence. We handle the entire process: documenting arrival and departure times, submitting claims with proper backup, and following up until the money lands.

  • Detention claims filed with time-stamped documentation
  • Layover and TONU (truck-ordered-not-used) pursued
  • Lumper receipts collected and reimbursed
  • Weekly review so nothing slips through the cracks

Getting Started

Onboarding Documents Checklist

To start dispatching, we need a small set of documents — most carriers can gather these in a single afternoon. Send photos or scans on WhatsApp and we'll handle the rest.

  • MC Authority Letter — your FMCSA operating authority grant
  • W-9 Form — signed and current tax year
  • Certificate of Insurance — auto liability + cargo, meeting broker minimums
  • Notice of Assignment (NOA) — only if you use a factoring company
  • Voided Check / Bank Letter — for direct-deposit settlements
  • Driver's CDL & Contact Info — for each truck we dispatch

Dispatching FAQ

A broker sells freight and takes a margin from the shipper. A dispatcher works for you — finding loads, negotiating with brokers on your behalf, and taking a small percentage of what you earn. Our incentive is your revenue, not the broker's spread.

You always have the final say. We present the best options with full details — rate, miles, pickup/delivery times, broker info — and you approve before anything is booked. No load moves without your yes.

We work across the major boards (DAT, Truckstop and others) plus a private network of brokers and direct shippers we've built relationships with. Multiple sources means more options and better leverage on rates.

Prevention comes first: we check broker credit and days-to-pay before booking. If a payment goes late, we chase it with you — calls, emails, and escalation — and we'll blacklist chronic slow-payers from your board.

Yes — small fleets of 2 to 10 trucks are our sweet spot. Each truck gets individual attention on lanes and scheduling, and we coordinate the fleet so trucks aren't competing for the same freight.

Freight doesn't stop on Friday, and neither do we. Your dispatcher is reachable 24/7 for urgent issues — breakdowns, appointment changes, or a hot reload that can't wait until Monday.
