Everything Between “MC Granted” and “First Load”
Getting your authority is only step one. Here’s the full setup we walk you through — honestly, patiently, and without the jargon.
MC / DOT Paperwork Guidance
We walk you through your operating authority paperwork step by step — what each form means, what to file, and in what order. No guessing, no missed steps.
BOC-3 & UCR Filing Help
Your BOC-3 process agent designation and Unified Carrier Registration are mandatory before you can legally haul. We make sure both are filed correctly and on time.
Insurance Guidance
Liability, cargo, and everything FMCSA requires. We explain what coverage you actually need, what it should cost, and connect you with trucking-friendly agents.
Factoring Setup
Waiting 30–60 days to get paid kills new carriers. We set you up with freight factoring so you get paid fast — often within 24 hours of delivery.
ELD Setup
FMCSA-compliant electronic logging is non-negotiable. We help you choose, install, and learn your ELD device so your logs are clean from the first mile.
First Load Booked Free
Once you’re compliant and ready, we book your very first load at zero dispatch fee. You see exactly how we work — before you pay us a dollar.
Honest note: we guide you through every filing — you stay compliant from day one. Final legal responsibility for your authority always stays with you as the carrier, and we’ll make sure you understand every document you sign.

New Authority FAQ
Not quite — your MC needs to go active first (usually 21+ days after granting), and you need BOC-3, UCR, and active insurance on file with FMCSA before you can legally run interstate. We check your status and tell you exactly what’s left.
BOC-3 designates a process agent in every state — someone authorized to receive legal documents on your behalf. UCR (Unified Carrier Registration) is an annual federal registration fee based on fleet size. Both are mandatory for interstate carriers, and both are easy to get wrong without guidance.
The setup guidance itself is part of becoming an Evernex carrier — there are no separate setup fees from us, ever. You’ll still pay the normal government filing fees (BOC-3, UCR, insurance) to the agencies and providers directly. After setup, dispatch is our standard flat 6% per truck.
You need insurance filed with FMCSA before your authority activates — that’s the biggest hurdle for most new carriers. We explain exactly what coverage is required and help you avoid overpaying. As for the truck: owned, leased, or rented (we offer rented trailers too) — we work with all of them.
As soon as your authority is active and your filings are complete. For most new carriers we work with, that means a first load within days of going active — and that first load is booked completely free.
